Global Village Shelters LLC is a for-profit company based in Litchfield County Connecticut, USA.
It is co-owned by father-daughter team Daniel A Ferrara and Mia Ferrara Pelosi.
Dan Ferrara founded the industrial design firm Ferrara Design Inc. His 30
plus years of design experience solidify the GVS designs as new and integral
shelter solutions in the disaster relief market. He attended Parsons
School of Design and holds over 70 patents. When he is not working, Dan is
an avid fly fisherman and enjoys making rustic furniture.
Mia Ferrara Pelosi is vice president of Global Village Shelters and manages
Ferrara Design Inc. Prior to this she worked in the fashion industry for
Essendi, Crabtree & Evelyn, XOXO, and Anne Lewin, creating advertisement
design and in management. She attended New York University and Charter Oak
College and holds BA degrees in both philosophy and fiction writing. In
her free time she makes her own clothing and is writing a screenplay.
