Global Village Shelters is co-owned by father and daughter team, Daniel Ferrara and Mia Ferrara Pelosi.

  Dan Ferrara founded Ferrara Design Inc., a full service industrial design firm, over 30 years ago.  He is President and co-owner of Global Village Shelters.  Ferrara Design's clients have included Bic, IBM, DeWalt, Black & Decker, Coca Cola, Bell Laboratories, Olivetti, and many others. He attended  Parsons School of Design and holds over 70 patents. When he is not working, Dan is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys making rustic furniture.

  Mia Ferrara Pelosi manages Ferrara Design and is Vice President/ co-owner of Global Village Shelters.  Prior to this she worked in the fashion industry for Essendi, Crabtree & Evelyn, XOXO, and Ann Lewin, creating advertisements and in management.  She attended New York University and Charter Oak College and holds degrees in philosophy and fiction writing.  In her free time she makes her own clothing and is writing a screenplay.
